FAQs
-
We are selling live plants, that will be seedlings upon pickup/purchase. The seedlings will be at their appropriate stage of growth for May. Ex: A tomato will not yet be fruiting, but will have tomatoes ready to harvest in July.
-
A: You can buy here on our Plant Sale Page or in person on May 6th and 7th at our Fresh Roots Farm, or on April 30th at the Ramsey Farmers’ Market from 10:00 am-1:00 pm.
-
A: You can pick up your order at the Fresh Roots Farm on May 4th from 10:00am-4:00pm. If this date does not work, please reach out to us at jacob@mevo.org.
-
A: All of our plants will have been in the greenhouse for 4-8 weeks. Some have been in the greenhouse a little less as they need less time. On the description for each plant, we give an average day to maturity from when you pick up and plant the plant until when you can harvest it. Some herbs may be smaller when you get them, but rest assured they will bush up soon after planting.
-
A: You can pay in cash or card!
-
A: In most cases, no. We will only sell you vigorous, healthy seedlings. However, if your plant dies immediately after purchase, please reach out to us!
-
A: Absolutely!

A: In general when you see day to harvest on our page it will be for fruiting crops. If a tomato says 50 days to harvest that means from the time you plant it to the time it’s ready to harvest. For all other crops, day to maturity mean from the time we seeded it to the time it’s ready to harvest. If it take 60 days for something to reach maturity and we had it in the greenhouse for 30 days, it should be ready to harvest in 30 days after planting.
